Hello and Welcome!

Hello spunky monkeys!

First, a little introduction.. my name is "Lucy" and I married "Alfred" (these are our nicknames) a mere 3 months ago on Saturday, 26th June 2010. I will post details and pictures of our wedding and honeymoon at a later date. We live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, Qld, Australia with our two precious poodles Rupert and Charlie.

I don't usually last too long with a blog, but I have decided to give it a much better go this time, as I feel I need somewhere to share my thoughts and feelings.

So I'll get into the recent stuff! Last week hubby and myself went down to Melbourne for the first time, to see the Tim Burton exhibition at ACMI (Australian Centre for Moving Image) - as we are HUGE fans! It was amazing to see the original drawings he had done for some of his projects, and some of his greatest creations.

We also went to the Melbourne Museum, who have a fantastic taxidermy room! They also had a Titanic exhibition showing, which we were happy about, as I had wanted to go to the Titanic museum in Las Vegas (honeymoon) but they had temporarily shut it down - as apparently they'd sent alot of their stuff to Melbourne! haha

On one of the nights, we did the Hangman's Night Tour at the Old Melbourne Gaol as Alfred loves history and anything about ghosts, plus I was interested to hear a little about infamous Ned Kelly! The gaol itself was very similar to Old Boggo Road Gaol (in Brisbane) that I had to visit in high school. It was a very entertaining and informative evening, my only complaint was that I was stupid enough to wear my black heeled boots - so I kept getting stuck in the stairs and on the floors of the upper levels - my suggestion? Wear flats or sneakers.

I also met up with one of my girlfriends who works as a designer in Melbourne. She took us to a fancy restaurant (oh-la-la) where the waiter told us we hadn't ordered enough food for our table! WTF!? I did enjoy the food however, and I had my first ever Pear Cider (which was delicious!).

Well I think that will do for a first post, I am still trying to work out what I want to post about and everything that goes along with a blog so that will probably take me sometime to find a rhythm to it.

Thanks for the read!
Love Lucy
xx
